Google+ is so great. Google really know what they're doing. The UI is very smooth and really good. Hangouts are the nicest chat experience I've ever had on a computer. I'd love to use it more than steam and such, but so little of my friends use it.

I can only assume this means no one you care to talk to is on skype, then? That's usually my reason for using or not using an IM Client, not so much features and functionality.

Nope, I just really don’t like Skype. I did a long time ago, but it doesn’t work well for my needs anymore.

Besides, people who actually want to keep in touch with me already do so anyway by other means, such as Facebook (which I’m not actively using, but I’m keeping the account around because it’s pretty much where everyone is).

I honestly prefer Google+ over both Facebook and Skype, though.

I’m considering dropping Skype as an IM client.

Why? Well, have you seen Google+? Holy crap.

What does a social network have to do with me no longer using Skype? Well, the integration of Google+ Hangouts and Google Talk.

Also Skype doesn’t work very well on Android so why keep it?
